How This Directory Is Built
This page explains exactly where our listings and prices come from. If a comparison site will not tell you that, it is fair to wonder what it is showing you.
How dealers get listed
Every dealer in this directory was verified against a live business listing or the dealer's own website at the time it was added. A listing records the business name, town, phone number, and website where one exists. Listings are free. No dealer pays to be listed, and no dealer pays for placement or ranking. Dealers with a published price sort first because a published price is more useful to you, not because anyone paid for the spot.
Where prices come from
A price appears on this site only when the dealer publishes it, on their own website or an official listing. Every published price links to its source and shows the date we recorded it. We never estimate prices, never fill gaps with regional averages presented as quotes, and never invent a number a dealer did not publish.
That standard means most listings read "call for pricing", because most dealers do not publish prices. Right now 26 of the 98 dealers we list publish a full-cord price, ranging from $240 to $1125. We would rather show you an honest "call for pricing" than a made-up figure.
- Connecticut: 29 dealers listed, 5 with published prices ($240 to $1125 per cord)
- New Hampshire: 30 dealers listed, 10 with published prices ($375 to $529 per cord)
- Maine: 39 dealers listed, 11 with published prices ($285 to $475 per cord)
How often listings are refreshed
Listings are rechecked periodically, and every price carries the date it was recorded so you can judge its freshness yourself. The current directory was last verified in July 2026. Firewood prices move with season and supply, so always confirm the current price with the dealer before ordering.
Quote requests
When you request quotes, your request is stored securely so dealers serving your area can respond by email or phone. We never sell your information. For abuse prevention we store a one-way hash of your IP address, never the address itself.
Claim or correct a listing
If you own or run one of the businesses listed here and want to update your price, contact details, or service area, or want your listing removed, email listings@firewoodprices.com with your business name and town. Corrections from the dealer take priority over anything we collected from public sources.
What we never do
- No fabricated dealers, prices, reviews, or testimonials.
- No estimated prices presented as real quotes.
- No paid placement or paid ranking.
- No claims of dealer partnerships that do not exist.
- No selling of your contact information.
