How This Site Works

Free, no paid placement

No account, no fees. Listings are free and no dealer pays for placement or ranking. This site exists to make delivered firewood prices easier to compare.

Only dealer-published prices

Every price comes from the dealer's own website or an official listing, with a source link and the date we recorded it. We never estimate or invent a price. See our methodology.

Confirm before you buy

Firewood prices change with season and supply. Always confirm the current price, wood type, and delivery fee with the dealer.

Firewood Buying Basics

What is a cord?

A full cord is a stacked pile of wood measuring 4 feet high by 4 feet deep by 8 feet long, or 128 cubic feet. It is the standard legal measure for firewood. Terms like "face cord" vary, so check which unit a price refers to.

Seasoned vs. green

Seasoned wood has been dried, typically for six months or more, and burns cleaner and hotter. Green (unseasoned) wood usually costs less but needs time to dry before burning. Kiln-dried costs the most and lights the easiest.

Delivery details matter

Ask whether the price includes delivery, whether the wood is dumped or stacked, and the minimum order for your area. These factors change the real cost per cord.
